First, I'd like to thank my followers. (Do I sound like I'm accepting an oscar or something?!) Anyways, i alsways get so excited when someone has added themselves to the list of readers of my blog. You can ask alan because i always yell out to him that i've got another follower. It , makes me happy to know i am loved, or at least, liked! ha! And if any of you fam or friends have blogs please share the url with me!
Next, i'd like to say, has it really been 10 months since i gave birth? WOW wow WOW! We had a friend go in to the same hospital for induction (she was 10 days over as opposed to 10 days under EDD) and she had a little boy exayesterday, exactly 10 months after i had true. I'll be posting a special birthday post so i won't realy go into it tonight except to say that sometimes i can't even believe how much i love him and how happy he makes me. Despite the pain, and i still remember how horrible it was!, that was one of the best days of my life.
Next, has it really been 5 years since i got married? wow again! This one is a little more believable. Not in a bad way though. we have such a good relationship it seems like we have always been together. I guess i just can't imagine being without him! we do get on each others nerves though, never because of me, of course! ok rambling again! maybe i'll do a marriage post later too. yes, i think i will.
This brings me to my next point, more serious. One of our good friends over here lost her husband a year ago today. It was very unexpected as he was young and healthy. So I've been thinking about him and the ones he left behind and ikeep thinking i just need to resolve to live a good life and bless those around me. I think i certainly have room for improvement here.
Lately i've been thinking of ways to get the life i want...happy, productive, relaxed, fun, compassionate, smooth...i guess this could go on. anyways, I want to spend as much time doing things that matter, like spending time with true! So anna first introduced me to freezer cooking. I posted about this a time or two ago. Anyways, I'm hooked! I think it really does save mega time on a daily basis. We waste significantly less food, and it stretches our money out further. Here's what i made for the rest of the month:
- chicken scampi
- beefy macaroni (my own concoction)
- cajun chkn pasta
- mexican lasagna
- chikn and rice soup
- lamb and barley soup
- ranch style chkn
- sloppy joes
- pollo allo spumante (for our anniversaire! The sauce uses champagne!)
True loves it too! But what does he not love? And when I say "gobble it up" to him he just cracks up! It's really cute!
ok this post is entirely too long and really not worth reading! Please feel free to move on and wait for another post with pics of true! (I know that's why you all read it anyways!;) ok good night!
