So True's been a little off lately... not too bad but it makes me wonder if he's teething early. Apparently alan had 2 teeth by this age! I sure hope not! Anyways, he's got a littl diaper rash and so i've been letting him "air out"! I just couldn't resist these pictures!

And this is an adorable little outfit anna got for true and i had to take a picture! He was squeeling and kicking and laughing so it's a little blurred!

it's been a while!

Well, I'm back online!

True just had his first shots- it was terrible! I know it is more traumatic for me than him, but I just hated it! But he's a little trooper and did just fine.

In other news, we have bought our tickets for our trip home! We are so excited and just can't wait to see everyone! Just about 2 months away!

I've been getting into the swing of things, true is pretty routine which helps! He's just awesome! In fact, today we went to the park and he just laid on the blanket smiling and talking! And he's starting to sleep for longer periods at night which is WONDERFUL!

That's about it for now... just enjoying my baby and the warmer weather!

Getting Ready for Baby!

Well, we are officially on the countdown. 3 weeks till the due date. Clothes have been washed and the room is set up. Just a couple things left to do. And the big relief is that I finally finished all of this term's bible lessons! So if I can get 6 done for next term I'll feel great!

And of course I have a crafty project that I want to do... well, really it is painting on the walls. I think I can do it, even though I am not the least bit artistic!

A big thanks to Anna for setting up a web baby shower for me! I was on the computer for over an hour the other day playing games! And I'm proud of my 46% on the famous mothers one- that's hard! But it's been great seeing everyone's comments and well wishes! Well, as you can see the baby is definitely getting bigger! But I think I've done pretty well with the whole weight gain. I don't really know because they don't weigh me at my appointments! Isn't that great! I might ask them when I go in next week, we'll see!

Guess that's about it! I'm sure there will be a lot more posting in the coming months!

Less than 9 weeks to go! (Maybe!)

So I guess we are really entering the countdown! I have a lot to do! The baby's room hasn't even started to be touched (we are waiting for some things to be moved out). I think I've figured out some things to decorate it with since we can't paint and I don't want to spend much money. Hopefully they will work and I'll post pics.

Well, tomorrow is our 4 year anniversary! I have to say it has been a good four years... I love my buns! And now we are going to have a baby! He is going to be a great dad- I can't wait!

Childbirth Class

Not too much news from over here. We've just been plugging along. I've started to try and get some things ready for the baby. The cradle is all ready for the baby in our room. I just have to get the baby's room together and wash it's clothes. We're about 11 weeks away, so getting pretty excited!

We had our first hypnobirth class on Friday. Apparently this method of birthing is pretty popular in the US but I had never heard of it till I started looking for natural childbirth classes. It's quite an interesting theory... that birth can be comfortable...so we'll see how we go. And part of my homework is to only listen to positive birth stories and advice- so please no negative feedback! ; )

Well, I guess that's about it for now! I'll post some pics later- the baby is definitely getting bigger!

How much do I love my new SKATE!!!!!!

So today some friends from church threw a baby shower for me. The hostesses were Melaine, Anna, Amy, and Sandy. (I forgot to get a picture!) Anyways, it was awesome! It was decorated so perfect! Amy did an awesome job! And we had tons of fun- the games were great! And that was no easy task since we have had a few baby showers already recently! And there was lots of yummy food! Everyone was very generous and we got tons of great things for Chubb Chubb- not only some super cute clothes but lots of books and all those handy necessities!

So the most crazy thing is that after I had opened all the gifts they said there was one more. So I had to look away for a minute as they brought it out. When I could look there it was- a beautiful pram!!! And the one that I had declared "perfect" long ago! I was in total shock! Paul (one of our close friends and one of the elders here) had heard Alan talking about this crazy nice pram and that I couldn't get it (too much $) and he decided that I should have it! SO several families went in together and got it for us! The idea is that we will be able to use this for all our children and once we move back home I will be constantly reminded of our friends here as I push the stroller. That is definitely true- I'll never forget this!

This is a game where there's food in the nappy and you have to guess what it is! It is hillarious to see people sniffing the nappy!

In this game people had to do things that babies do. This is Jenny Coleman- she is eating a jar of baby food in less than a minute! Actually I think it took her about ten seconds! She is a trip!

These are some really cute onesies that Matilda got her new best friend! One of them is super cute with little lions on it! She also gave us some great Aussie books!

And these are some little tiny shoes that we were given- so cute! Ruth and Chloe gave these to us and there was also the cutest little cow outfit! I love it! This next picture is of a nappy cake that Sandy made. She does such an amazing job on these! They always look so great! And they are choc full of useful and fun things! I think she could sell these for a pretty penny!

So anyways, it was great! I can't thank everyone enough for all the effort they put in! I can't wait to scrap all my pictures! And everyone took a guess at the date of birth, gender, size, and length of labour so it will be fun to see who's right! So now I'm fully ready to get things prepared for little Chubb's arrival! Definitely getting excited!

In other news, I thought I would make a cooking recommendation to any who are interested. Over here pumpkin is cooked as a savoury dish and used year round. We really like it roasted with potatoes. So I think people should give it a shot! And fresh pumpkin (they don't have canned) makes pies, pumpkin bread, etc. a lot nicer!

We went to the midwives the other day- everything is fine. So just have to get things ready! And I see from the pictures that I am starting to have a double chin- guess I can't look down anymore! The reupholstering of my body makes Alan very happy- he equates weight gain with a happy healthy baby! He'll love it after the baby's out too! Ha!

We've been pretty busy over the last month or so. Here's a bit of a recap. We are still celebrating our Tarheel victory! I wonder if they knew that they had fans who got up at 5 in the morning to watch the game!! I made celebratory cupcakes after the final 4 victory and a cookie cake (I forgot to take a picture) for the championship! So much fun!!

And I just couldn't resist this picture! That's my rocker!

Alan's parents and auntie came for a visit. It was short but we packed it full! We visited King's park and saw some unusual animals at Caversham wildlife park. I love the koalas!

I loved the wombat and the tasmanian devil was never still enough to get a picture that wasn't blurry! I guess Looney Tunes got that right! The baby octupus was in a big seafood stew that Anita and Delilah ordered at a Korean BBQ. Alan didn't eat it- thank goodness! There were tons of these in the soup!

We also took them further south to Margaret River. We walked through Mammoth Cave- it was very pretty, and now I have been to 2 Mammoth Caves on opposite sides of the world! We also drove through the Boranup Forest on our way to Augusta (the lighthouse picture). This forest is beautiful. The trees shed their bark so they are sivery white- it's great when the light shines through. One of our friends calls this his little slice of heaven!

Augusta is on the very tip of the continent. From this point if you look west you can see the Indian Ocean and then if you look east you can see the Southern Ocean. It's pretty cool! This next picture is me in the gardens of the Voyager Estate and Winery. We ate lunch there and it was great!! I had the duck pie and alan had marron- a specialty only inthis part of the world. It's kind of like lobster or craw fish. I also embarrased myself by helping myself to some bread because the waiter wasn't bringing it! It looked like it could be self serve and he was setting tables after we told him I was very hungry! Oh well- a pregnant girl's gotta eat right!?!

And the best news of all for this update is that I'm an auntie again!!! Cora Elise was born yesterday! She is so cute! I can't wait till we get to visit home! It will be so much fun!

Well, we also went on a three day trip to the Avon Valley. It's only about an hour drive from where we live and we stayed and visited three little country towns. The funny thing about this trip is that we went with an older couple from church who organised it and about 16 other senior citizens! I laughed every time we got off the bus and people saw all the oldies and then us! I have decided that it is actually a great way to travel- they like good regular meals, they like to take naps and they don't like to walk too much! Perfect! We got to relax a lot and it was really nice to see some places we probably wouldn't really take the time to ordinarily see.

Well, I have to go to bed! I've stayed up so late I have indigestion now! ugg!
