Fun with the Rellies

Well we are in the thick of things right now! Bret and ryan flew over and stayed for ten days and towards the end of their trip denny, sarah, and turner came for 10 days. So here's a little run down of what we've been up to so far.

We visited Fremantle, the port city a little south of Perth. We took a guided tour of the prison there. fairly interesting. I took a picture of one of the cells that showed what it was like iin the beginning. Of course over time the cells were made larger. I think I would die if I had to be locked up in there!
We also visited Albany, the little town down south that we go to on a regular basis. It was really nice. This is a picture of bret and ryan at the gap and natural bridge- two striking scenic places.

While we were in albany we hopped over to the town of Walpole to do a tree top walk throught the Karri forest. These trees are the 3rd biggest in the world. They are really impressive. I will have to post pictures of that later- to tired now!
And jusst yesterday we went to Rottnest Island for the first time. This is a smallish island about 12 miles off the coast. No cars are allowed there so you either take a bus around or ride bikes. We opted for the bus and it was great! We went with Ron Howe, an older man from church who has ben swimming, surfing, etc. his whole life. He graciously offered to come along so that he could show us all the best places to snorkel. And let me tell you- it was Awesome!! The water was crystal clear and we saw so many fish and bright coral that was just incredible! He took us around the rock outcropping in the picture below to a small lagoon that had tons of fish! It was really cool. I absolutely loved it! Alan and i got to go out together for about a half hour and it was really fun to do that together! He even dove to the bottom and got some cool shells for me to add to my collection! Can't wait to do it again- I'm excited just thinking about it!
And I couldn't resist this picture of little man. He loves this bunny and when i put him down for a nap the other day i let him play with it as he fell asleep.- don't worry we don't let him sleep with it! but it's just so cute to see him cuddled up!
ok- more to come laater! need to sleep!! love ya!

Looks like fun! Was Ryan doing ok without the kids? That pic of Alan and True is so funny! We let Cora sleep with her animals...sometimes she wakes up and plays with them in bed before I have to get her up! Sometimes she sleeps on them. I think she likes a pillow b/c she loves to sleep on stuff!

I'm glad your family has gotten to come and visit. Sounds like you guys have had fun!

We started to let Abbey sleep with her bunny at one point too. It was great bc like Anna said, she would wake up and play with it sometimes and be content in bed.
